Happy Independence Day!
We gathered at the Little Campbell Lake today for some water side exploration and discovery.
Even though the sun remained elusive, it was a beautiful day and the lake brought out many of Anchorage's families for canoing and fishing. There were also many swimmers!
Discovering hydro-currents involved in flowing water.
The kids were interested in watching and catching water as it flowed back into the lake, creating a micro braided river system
We found eggs on a washed in Lilly pad...what kind of eggs are they?
Discarded fish parts become an anatomy lesson
We brought our 'fishing gear' from last time and tried our hand at fishing here
Healthy Snack Time
Team Work; exploration in mutual aid while getting wet and muddy!
