So it is 'bear aware' time in Alaska! All those sleepy bears waking up from their long winter sleep, out and about on the search for something yummy. What this means for Peace tree Kids? Trail changes, a lot.
We really wanted to head down south and let the little ones wander in the woods, but constant updates from hikers about bear sightings have kept us snuggled up in Anchorage. We are just going to let those guys fill up and wander off before we tread onto their homes. We are patient, it is ok!
The benefit to this is that we have time to start planting the garden! The weather has been warming up for us and the sun broke out from the clouds this morning. Little ones doffed their winter hats and coats to splash barefoot in the creek and play in the dirt. Yeah for summer on the Alaskan horizon!!!

The last time we were here everyone explored the bridge, top and bottom. It was interesting to see that the kids paid no attention to the bridge this time around and discovered a new part of the water to explore.
